after shinon( first archer) leaves you and meets again at the battle field. do u have to kill him? is there anyway to get him back? will he join the mercnry?

You have to let rolf talk to him first. Which is not easy keeping him alive. Send characters in who can only fight at close range to protect him, like the cats. Shinon shoots from two squares away. After Rolf talks to him have Ike attack and beat him. When Shinon is dying Ike doesn't finish him off and he joins after you finish the place.

That's good to know. I'll have to play it again and train him. Can he use a long bow? I didn't know how good Soren is until I decided to train him. thanks

You were right about Rolf. It wasn't easy training him at first when he was only doing 4 hit points at a time. By the time we got to the wall where we get Shinon he was a level 7 sniper. I let him get to level 15 and used a Master Seal and changed him to a sniper. He was fighting as good as my best. It was great having a sniper in the four stages of Daybreak. Thanks a lot.
