you may not think it, but yes. you use every subject in life. you may not think it. but you do. every subject. yes, there are a few subjects that you don't use directly. but can apply them to life. like history. and plus, humans are evolving. at the moment, we're doing quite good. the governments want us to be smart, so some of us can grow up to be very useful to them in the future. they dont want people to be stupid. and to be smart, you haveto have knowledge. if you spend your whole life learning mathematics. nothing else, well, you've wasted your time, because 1: computer at maths < you. 2:maths has a definate answer. no discoveries to be made etc. also, you would be socially retarded. you don't notice, but you talk aboutalot of school stuff without even noticing it in conversations , like me saying to my friends "haha, could you imagine if they had the easter rising on o connel street....but, using the halo charecters."...that's just a general conversation someone might have, talking about history and geography.
basically. you do need all the subjects. they dont just give them to you to keep you occupied. it costs them money to supply teachers for you.
but they teach a lot of stuff that we don't necessarily need to know...i guess they are just trying to find new ways to make us think.
"maths has a definite answer. no discoveries to be made etc."
plenty of mathematical discoveries have taken place. theorems, postulates, and formulas...
