To change a toddler's hairstyle click on a mirror (while adult) and click "change (insert toddler name here)'s hairstyle. then you can pick what hair style you want.

i have had the issue with the birthdday thing also. when they keep holding the baby, just cancel that action and make them lay the baby on the floor then after a few times they will eventaully grow the baby up ( i use a cheat, game mod thing for it sometimes if it gets annoying) With Maternityclothes, yes you can use regualr type clothes, and custom maternity, theres a hack you need to beable to use the custom maternity, its great, because i hate the maxis made maternity clothes) im not sure if the name of the game mod thingy i se is allowed to be mentiond here or not, some places dont want it mentioned.
