u just keep walking until u find one. ive only found 1 mario hat and 2 luigi hats and i had nintendogs since it came out so its very rare.

i had this game for about 2 months and i got like 3 mario hats and 3 luigi hats. but i dont really have the need for them so i sold them. but i still keep on getting them. i think you can only get those hats depending what type of game you got or something. i dont know.
