How exactly do you enter the codes. Do you do it while in a race, or on the menu screen or somewhere else? And do you need to enter them fast or does that matter? Thx in advance.

You enter when you play WITHOUT pausing. Just park the car on the side, and enter the codes. There is no real speed needed to enter the cheats, but I say two buttons per second (count like this "one, one thousand, two, one thousand, three . . . " and it'll be perfect.

Hey sebastian you CAN pause and then enter codes and they still work. The problem with entering them without pausing is the codes that involve the circle button which activates your nitro and then you have to forget about entering the code to keep from crashing or arousing the cops. I know you could just run out your nitros before you enter a code, but if you have already entered the infinite nitros code you can't run them out and it becomes a problem.
