Croc cap, important? on Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater PlayStation 2 Message Board - Page 1

I didn't get the croc cap. I know where it is now thanks to various walk throughs, and I have a save from before that point. Is it important that I go back for it? Do I NEED it later in the game? Is the water camo effective enough that my life won't be too hellish without croc cap?

you don't really NEED the croc cap its nice to have but you can manage without it fairly easily

I found it in the North are of the swamp, after crossing two vines from the trees in the NW. However, I have never used it. Same as the monkey mask! It just looks silly.

BTW, the monkey mask, if you go to First Person View, you cant see out of it!!

What a waste of time!
