on golden sun 2 how do u get past the whillpools to get to the island?

If your talking about how to get to lemoria, then u have to first go to Yallem. go into the area with the kids. talk to one of them, and click yes if they ask u to hear their song. listen to it, it explains how to get through it.

just follow your instinct to get through. thats what i did and never had to listen to that stupid song.

I think this might be the time to ask, how do you beat posiedon once u get through? it says that hes protected by an aura and ur attacks do nothing.can someone help me?

to be poseidon u have to collect 3 part of a trident

To get past the whirlpools, you will have to sail your ship in circles around the rocks that stick up out of the ground until a nearby current deactivates. Quickly go across where the current used to be, and repeat the process. Once you get into the next screen, you will soon fight Poseidon.

You will need a Trident to destroy the aura that protects Poseidon. You need to bring the three prongs of the Trident to Briggs' grandmother in Champa. You can find the three trident prongs at:

Shrine of the Sea God
--- Go east of Daila to find the Shrine of the Sea God
Tundaria Tower
--- Sail southwest of the icy island at the southeast corner of the world, then travel across Tundaria
Ankohl Ruins
--- From the island northeast of Lemuria, travel northwest and it should be found near the beach next to Champa's beach

Once you find all three pieces, you have to bring them to Briggs' grandmother. Use Reveal to walk up to the seemingly floating Trident. I don't know if you have to actually equip it or not, but you will have to select it in the items menu during combat with Poseidon. After you do that, he is beatable, but he is still a boss, so be careful!
