I caught it! I finally caught the Hylian Loach! I've been trying to catch it all week! So there I was, minding minding my own buisness when suddenly I saw a tiny little fish chase after my sinking lure, but that wasn't the only thing chasing after it, I looked behind it and there it was! The Hylian loach! I looped around the tiny fish so that the Hylian loach could snatch on to my sinking lure and it did! It was a long and feirce battle but after about 3 minutes I grabed th Hylian loach right out of the water. It was 31 pounds! I showed it to the owner but all he gave me was 50 rupees! Come on! I deserve more than that!

I caught the thing bout 3 times...Good if you can hold 999 rupees.

I was bound and determined to prove to a friend that the Hyrule Loach DID infact exists, most websites don't show you pictures, or any real PROOF, so I started up Project 64 (I own the original Ocarina of Time), went the the fishing pond as an adult.... waited for the sun to be down (right when the wolf howls) and walked in... put on my trusty blue tunic and my iron boots and walked to the middle of the pond.

Contrary to EVERY single one of the guides I'd read, I had to have the Sinking Lure... well, this is proof you don't need it, just a steady hand. I only needed the regular Lure.

Wait until he's about to surface and cast your line RIGHT where he's going to surface (when he does he makes a kind of click sound) then goes back down to the bottom of the pond... there's about a 3 second window to nab him if you DON'T have the sinking lure.

Here's some pictures, and to prove that I caught it, here's two Save States from Project 64 one before nabbing him, and one after.

There is no special formula to catching him, and it's not that hard either (easier than the 20 pounder) takes about 2 minutes. The only thing that I do know is that he didn't show up until after dark.

Now that I KNOW how it works I'll be adding it to OOT2D... w00t! I plan on also sending this 'proof' to most of the Zelda webmasters who claim they haven't caught or seen the loach yet... so they can show conclusively that ONCE AND FOR ALL, It's REAL!

Tis Not That Hard.All You Have To Do Is Destory All the Golden Scultulas In The Whole Game And Then Go To That House In Kakariko Village And Talk To The Dude In The Middle Of The Room,Then He Will Give You The Bigg Wallet.
