Despite Towtha's lengthy opinion, I favor Roy.....and not just because his moves "look cooler" as you so quaintly put it. Can I make a suggestion to all of you? Register and become free members! That way you can PM others and further your cheathappens enjoyment.

eternal you can favor roy but saying that he is better than marth is just not true

jman, the debate over superiority is more or less based on personal opinion. Marth is a great fighter and his speed and attacks put him very high in my rankings. However, depending on the battle, he's not necessarily the better of the two. Think about it; if one person is fighting as Bowser and the other is using Pichu, odds are that Bowser would win due to his weight and sheer power. The same goes for all the characters in the game. Each one would fare differently depending on whom their opponent was. So, there are just as many cases in which Roy is better than Marth and vice versa. Even if the battle was between Marth and Roy, the outcome would be based on the skill level of the gamer, not the character stats. That said, I don't take kindly to people calling me a liar.

Eternalflame, you must not have read what I wrote. Marth is better than Roy in nearly EVERY way. Why don't you give an EXAMPLE of any matchup where Roy would be the better choice? Actually you would need to give at least 12 matchups to defend your claim that there are just as many matchups where Roy is preferable as where Marth is preferable.
