Well, there is a whole lot of things you need to do in chapter 1.
1.You need to befriend Romona(chapter 1) to get the cat in chapter 2, you need to befriend Vesta to get the cows in chapter 2, you have to Befriend Vesta to get the racoon and the weird hoe, you have to get the scientist to like you so you can get a free seedmaker, you have to befriend the guy that helps you with your farm to get the talking plant in chapter 2.
2.You have to find a stone tablet at the dig site each chapterand befriend Carter to get the chihaha in the last chapter.
3. You need to make either Muffy, Celia, or Naimi like you and propose to them when they have four hearts, so you can continue on to chapter 2.
