In next trainer update you can define the chip size the trainer sets so you can 'repair' it. Just be patient.

Is there any feasible way of editing the game's memory to unlock weapons? There are some I locked myself out of, and I don't want to have to wait until after several NG+ cycles until I can unlock them properly.

Id be careful using Unlimited Skill Storage
pretty sure that was the culprit with one of my corrupted saves

Its 3 play throughs in total
after that you can just select chapters and play from there
you could wait for a 100% save file as an alternative

Can confirm that. I'm stuck with my chip loadout since non of the new chips are appearing in my inventory and if I remove an equipped chip, it's gone for good. Save is 'broken'.

If you download the latest trainer again, it lets you edit the chip size value (default value of 1 now). If you use that option you might be able to repair your broken savegame.
