I spent my 10 trial hours the first day on the multiplayer. I then upgraded to the super deluxe edition since I see myself playing the multiplayer a lot and don't want to grind too much (probably not worth the money).

The little I saw of the single player (up until you could control your character the first time) seemed fine. I can live with ****ty facial animations if they are in the game. Somebody will probably create a mod where all characters wear a helmet and then you can happily play without seeing them.

what exactly does MP consist of, is it wavebased against AI, or is it some kind of pvp deathmatch?

im asking cause im lingering between deluxe and super deluxe, and the only thing super has extra, is MP stuff

as far as I know its wave based like ME3

Yep its wave base with objectives your wee MP Group has to do before then getting extracted. There is a large choice of of characters and sets for you to chose from Milky way to Heleus and Remanent. Shed ton of weps to play. But their is supposedly going to be more on there way.

You guys know this is just Warframe right? Selection of different races from different parts of space, weapons not class restricted, co-op against waves, it's embarrassing really.

@MTCason: The second and third "Witcher" games. "Ghost Recon: Wildlands" also has decent animations and graphics considering it's an action game and not an ARPG. As far as the former having stiff characters; people in real life don't generally flail about like fish out of water. Their movements are typically minimal and their facial expressions usually depict their feelings with accuracy less they're being deceitful or suffer from some kind of mental illness.

Beyond that, CDPR is a much smaller and less funded studio. That they produced something so arguably better than EA and BioWare is shameful considering the resources the latter possess.

Additionally, the story hooks for "Dragon Age: Origins" and, especially, "Mass Effect 1" started fairly quickly and hit fairly hard. ME:A's was vague at best and aimless at worst. There is also a difference between enjoyable gameplay and general game quality.

And as far as "big names in voice acting" goes, just because they're well established doesn't mean that the directing they had was good or that the tone and inflections match the in-game situations. A lot like a movie with great visuals and acting but poor writing.

This game is great.. If facial animations issues are game breaking for you then don't buy the game. Bioware is aware of them and they are going to address them. But honestly it's really the only thing I have issue with and that is not even a big one. But as you progress in the game they smooth out. At lest at the end of my 10 hours. It runs great on my system and looks fantastic. No game is perfect and every AAA game that has come out in the past 10 years has had issues at launch.. If you do not like it do not buy it or get a refund the game is not even out yet so it is easy to do. Every review I have seen has been nothing more than nit-picking. If it was glitching out in any number of ways or had game breaking bugs I'd complain too, but it does not. The one issue I have seen is with Corsair software and even that is not a game breaker and will be fixed..

I have to agree with Ravenbear on several points. For me the animations did not bother me at all they looked great. I am actually ticked by all the nit pickers. Same if I seen anything major I would certainly report it. Heck the issues that folk are complaining about had been addressed a couple of weeks. They did say something about a day one patch for it. So like Ravenbear says if you do not like it then dont buy or if you pre ordered get your money back. Personally for me I aint going to compare this one to the others! Its a new story in the MEU. Time to give it its chance. Not everything needs to start fast, the intro for me was actually quite interesting along with the rest in the 10hrs I got to play. So come release day am going to be bouncing.

I really don't mind some bad animation
as long as the characters are interesting.
And after my 10hrs I was satisfied with the NPCs ....
    but not the main ....
    by removing the Renegade/Paragon system
they cut off the ears of the conversation system.
    You can't be Evil/Aggressive or Good/Soothing
in any of the options anymore. No matter what you choose,
your character stays a neutral little puppy.

Also the unmapping of the dodge key when you
start the game for the first time was a bad move

I'm still gonna get it for the Lore and other Characters
