Always start Uplay in offline mode and disable cloud sync for saves.
Get InternetOff
Link to disable internet fast without unplugging wires or manually going into network adapters. This is freeware and works.
Also it is way easier to get the CH offline key so you can start your trainer when offline.
Link for the file and here to activate
Link. Otherwise start trainer then go offline
Create a shortcut from desktop to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\your long alpha numeric number here\3559 if you got it from STEAM
C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\your long alpha numeric number here\\1171 if you got it from Uplay
your saves folder will look like this if all 3 save slots used. The actual save games will be over 50kb in size. 1.save and 1.save.upload if less than 50kb can be deleted safely, it is the Uplay cloud sync for Uplay rewards and unlocks tied to account and will re-download each time you play online to match progress of the online character.
1.save
1.save.upload
2.save
2.save.upload
3.save
3.save.upload
4.save
4.save.upload
Note the order goes by the time character was created and NOT the slot used. Once you determine the save that has been used with trainer you can now move it while offline at you're leisure
When done playing with the trainer, you can move that save via the short cut to another folder or desktop and DELETE 1.save and 1.save.upload that way once back online there is no progress from a trainer character to be synced with Uplay. When you want to play againg with trainer and trained character, open your short cut and move the saves back to the original folder so they show up in their proper slot in game, again offline of course. Not a 100% guarantee, but it keeps your saves from uplaoding.
Now that you have all this, in short
go offline
move trainer save to original save game folder
start trainer, start game and play.
finish playing, move save out of original folder to whereever and delete 1.save and 1.save.upload and go back online.
May seem a bit much but once you get the hang of it, it will be like second nature and take less time than you think to get everything ready to start. Hope this helps any who read this.
