    Ah ok.

I play with a controller and I was playing Resident Evil 4 the other day. The quick time sections where you have to rapidly push a button to escape a scene gave my thumb spasms and I am just a little too slow so kept dying.
I have arthritis so having rapid fire on my controller would make things a bit easier for me.
Guess I will have to look for a controller that has these functions build in and hope I get a nice enough one.

You may want to look in to the Logitech F310 or F710 controllers. There is Logitech software you can download for it that allows you to change settings but I'm not sure it will let you toggle a button press.

I do exactly what you are looking to do with a Logitech keyboard and mouse. I use their software to hotkey button key spamming or mouse clicks if a game is going to give me carpal tunnel or just out of sheer laziness.

I will have a look, thanks.

I cannot play with a keyboard and mouse, controllers are all that work for me.
I would like the option to have any button on the controller set to rapid fire.

With the likes of Resident Evil 4 and several other games where you have to rapidly press a button to run away from something ext I just have a hard time and hate it.

It would also be nice to have rapid fire on guns in some games.

They have turbo controllers that will do what you want. ZD and some other companies make them (Amazon sells them).

The quality of the controllers is questionable (huge deadzones etc) and they aren't always as plug and play friendly as the Xbox controllers. Most are designed to be used with the consoles but many will work on the PC.

I'll pull out my Logitech 310 this afternoon and see if the software will allow for a turbo function. From a quality standpoint that would be your best bet and they aren't that expensive.

controller mod kits are also available to turn the controller itself into rapid fire, downside is you have to open them up and hard wire the kits usually involves soldering but if your handy with stuff like that they work fairly well. Or just drink 2 gallons of coffee before each game and let them shaky fingers to the work LOL.

    Just an update on this;

I took a chance on the Speedlink controller as below.
Sadly this was a mistake and a waste of money.

While it does have a rapid fire function, it does not support Rapid Fire on the triggers.... All the buttons can be set to rapid fire except for the triggers!
Why they made this decision is beyond me.

I cannot recommend the Speedlink controllers. Stay away from them.
I am looking at getting a Cronos Max instead now. That may be my only option.

I dont know how to add a picture to the post, does not seem possible so I attached the picture.

If you play with a Xbox remote there is a kit you can buy for something like 20 dollars, just saw one at walmart the other day, full rapid fire for all buttons and triggers, it fits over the controller and has paddles that replace the triggers. I'll see if I can find exactly what it is and post a link.

    Thank you so much!

I send a message to the company to just check to make sure it supports rapid fire on any button on the controller.
If it does and it works on PC then this should be perfect! 😀
