I'm trying to use an older CH trainer (from 4/2015), but when I open it, large portions of the window are blacked out. The way they look irregular, it looks like they were "redacted" or something. When I start the trainer, my CH username under "Customised for" flickers for a moment, but that's also blacked out. Aside from that, the trainer works, the options work, I just can't see what anything is on it. I've reopened some other trainers that use that same style of CH window, just to see if it's Win10 shenanigans, and can't find any others that do the same thing.

This wouldn't be someone's sideways attempt at getting people to open and read the README files, would it?

No, it looks like it could be related to your graphics driver or a setting within it. It could also be your security product blocking or corrupting part of the file. If you have a multi-monitor setup then try moving to the other one. No one else has complained of this issue.

I can't imagine what that would be. I'm running a GTX 1080 with the latest stable driver, and I wouldn't know which setting would cause that. Or what would cause it for this trainer specifically.

I've tried running it again with MBAM and WinDef switched off.

I don't have more than one monitor, so that's out.

I'm not sure what to do about that last one except sit here and feel like a single-out freak, thanks for that. :P
Although the thought occurs that maybe the trainer I have an issue with comes two years after the previous update. Could be no one's ever gone back to the game.

On that note, I opened up an older version of this trainer (the one that came directly before), and there's no problem with it. I've attached a screenshot of the two running next to each other, along with two others that use that same style of window.

Since there's only one of the trainers you're using that show this particular behavior.

It's Shank 2. I wasn't sure if I should be posting this in that game's specific boards or in General Discussion, because I wasn't sure if it affected any other trainers.

But like I also said, it's not exactly an issue that breaks the trainer. It just kinda forces you to open the README to read the instructions. Whether this was done intentionally, or just a pleasant after-effect of some other issue, that's what I wanted to find out.

Might solve a few problems, actually. Keep people from using the trainer until they answer a short quiz on what was contained in the README.

Tested: Yes, as you said, it's black, but then I wouldn't make a big deal of it as, as you said: you can read the text file.
