If you're looking for games like the original Dragon Age I'd recommend heading over to GoG (gog.com) and you'll have a ton of older games that you have missed out on.

I'd start with Planescape:Tormment, Neverwinter Nights series, Icewind Dale, Arcanum, Nox...the list goes on and on.

Some of the games are available on Steam but the GoG versions normally run much better on modern systems.

First: Welcome to the world of PC Gaming 😉

Here is my Top-Game list for PC:
    - The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
The best RPG ever! You dive into this fantasy world and cant stop playing, I want to see every square meter of this world and complete every single quest. This game is a must of every gamer!

    - TES: Skyrim
Old but gold RPG with a big world to explore and huge quests to master. If you start playing this game you can't pass any cave without go inside and exploring it! 😍

    - Resident Evil 7: Biohazard
The best atmospheric horror game I've ever played! If you like horror shooters, this is the best choice 🙂

    - BioShock Series
Very good shooter with a perfect story in my opinion! If you want to spent time in an science-fiction world and learn more about it BioShock is a very good choice.

    - Dishonored / Dishonored 2
Same as BioShock: Atmospheric world with a very good story, you can spend hours playing it and will play it again after you've finished it the first time.

    - Half-Life Series
Old but gold; nothing more to say... 😀

    - Rise of the Tomb Raider

    - Telltale Adventures: First of all The Walking Dead; Spoiler:
I cried tears at the end of the first episode 😭

Hope you find some games that you'll have fun with
babes, bullets, bombs. damn - i love this job!

I mostly play 1st person shooters, or 3rd person. racing games and platformers, but I do venture outside my genres.
Some I really like, and love, that havent been mentioned yet:
    The Elder Scrolls Online
    The Crew
    Mafia II
    Mirror's Edge the 1st one
    Alan Wake
Call of Juarez and COJ Gunslinger
    Flatout 2 or Ultimate Carnage
    HalfLife 2, ep 1, and ep. 2
Metro 2033 not the redux'es, or Last Light, although LL was ok.
    Rage
Serious Sam HD TFE and TSE
    Sniper Elite 2, 3 and 4
Tomb Raider 2013 THE best Tomb Raider game ever made. I have played them all from way back in the 90's to now, and this is the best one. The newer one mentioned is similar, but just doesnt have that 'fun' factor that the 2013 version does, even though its a good game also.
Trine 1 and 2, if you havent played them. Forget 3.
    Crysis
    L.A.Noir
    Lost Planet 3
Mad Max the best representation of the Mad Max movies in a game. And, long game also.
    Split/Second
Trackmania all of them except Turbo.
And, one of the alltime best 4 person coop or you and 3 bots, hack-n-slash + ranged weapons, mideville, adrenaline pumping game ever made Warhammer End Times Vermintide. Seriously, one of the best games ever made, and by a very small studio, and each dlc that comes out just adds exactly to the existing game. If you are into such games.

There are others, but these are the ones I keep coming back to play at least once a year, full playthrough, or play once every week or 2.
