Can you play the game offline? If you block the game in firewall does it work properly?
Usually these free to play games or games with micro transactions (if coded well) stores everything on their servers as protection against people don't pay but cheat.

I haven't tested if the game is completely offline but I assumed it was/is.
The PC version is 8 bucks and has no micro transactions so I assumed there wouldn't be a need or be cost effective for the developer to connect or save anything server side.
It's actually a decent TD game....all but the reload mechanic.
I was able to modify the money amount. But it requires a bit of knowledge and a debugger.
Sadly it runs through massive shared functions and I couldn't find any way to filter it properly.
What's the reason for a cheap game to have such a 'protection'? But it's a good example why especially these cheap tiny games are incredible amount of work to train.
One word: microtransactions (or is it two?). They just ported the safety precautions along with the rest of the mobile game.
