I've tried DLing several different trainers and cosmos. All attempts resulted in extremely slow downloads which eventually failed with a network error.

What I've done.
disabled all firewalls AV and ad blockers
used a VPN to a location outside my country of residence
used 2 different browsers
used 3 different computers ( with the above steps on all of them)

Run a ping test on your side.

Open the command prompt (Win-key+r, type cmd). In the new window type ping google.com. Press enter.

What does it say after time=xxx ms?

Any downloads in the backgrounds? Shared line with your family or neighbors?

my connection is rock solid. at the time of typing this i have steam updating while watching a dota 2 game on twitch. on a side note i have also updated the firmware of my router right now with no change.
also if there was a routing issue ISP wise to CH then that should have been circumvented when i used the VPN

i also used google as my DNS

Maybe Cloudflare doesn't like your IP very much?

Do you get a new IP after you swith your modem off and on again? Try this.

prob not but I definitely would via the VPN

got an update. it seems i can download from CH if i VPN to USA. doesn't seem to work when i connect to New Zealand,. Sweden or Australia

Downloading CosMOS with a swedish IP right now with no errors and my usual speed.

Maybe just a New Year's hiccup somewhere.

Hopefully it doesn't last.

Contact Cloudflare (www.cloudflare.com) and tell them you are having issues connecting to Cheat Happens and download speeds. They can troubleshoot your connection and see if there is a routing issue to the cloudflare server servicing your location.
