Okay, seems CIS really doesnt like this trainer interface compared to the older static one.
After uninstalling comodo I could run the trainer, but got the AOB error as well.
Yesterday Astroneer got an update, maybe it changed the signature too much.

Note:
I am not reporting a game update, as this error has been found before the update and I do not know if it just doesnt run on my system or if it's a general problem.

Some people reported this issue but i was never able to reproduce. If nobody let me take a look via teamviewer on it I'll never be able to figure out what's the issue.

Might be realtime protection. I fiddled around with CIS and now i can launch the trainer again without issue, even able to use it properly.

CIS = Comodo Internet Security? Comodo is definitely causing problems with my trainers. At least now I know there is another issue on top of it. Thanks for the information.

Two things;
1: The trainer is working perfectly! My favorite part is the unlimited energy. (I usually only use that option; though sometimes the unlimited oxygen and easy crafting are awesomely useful!!)
2: Is there any chance that fall damage could be turned off as a cheat? I die from that all the time. There isn't much in the game that is deadly, and I don't need god-mode. But a fall can make for a long 'cleanup' when you have to make tunnels to find your body back.

Did they added fall damage? Last time I've checked the trainer the game still had no fall damage. Or does it require some specific planet etc?

They do have fall damage. I have only played it my first time today.
What I noticed is that if you fall from more than about 3-4 meters it does damage and any more than that will kill the player.
