Steam and Uplay are the same version. Something is probably blocking the trainer from accessing the game. You can also manually add the command line parameter to your WatchDogs2.exe shortcut and then just hit cancel when the trainer prompts for it.

Still no dice using "-eac_launcher"

Looks like the game updated today 12/11/16. Can't launch it now. The normal game Small splash dialog shows, pauses for a few seconds, goes away. Was working yesterday.

Please use the update notification system to report a game patch, update or to report that the trainer may not be working with the latest version of the game. If 3 or more reports have been filed, consider BOOSTING the priority of this title for a faster turnaround on the updated trainer.

No updates to the game version have come through on my side. I add get additional content update which was mainly cars, weapon, outfit and the drone. Al state this even though some one will most likely go they dont work for them. I have went through all the options that I use 1/2/4/5/6/7/8/9 I even checked option 3 and that still adds follower fine. Even though I no longer need them. They all appear to be working fine for me on my rig which is win7/AVG set to ingore/IE9 via uplay not through steam.

I'd like to look at this issue via TeamViewer for anyone having it. PM me.

I tried adding research points with "Add Followers" option but when I unlocked some skills and reaches more than 5774000 followers, it stops adding research points so I only got 1 research point left.

I tried to reduce, increase back the number of followers, back to main menu (automatically saves game), and load back to the game and still only got 1 research point left. I'm afraid that adding research points through followers reaches its limits.

Is there any other option to implement in the future? Like grabbing a research point from the restricted areas and got 999?
