Is it possible in the future to save the state of a game you're in and then reload it later within COSMOS? It's like: "a quicksave at any moment" and then you could reload that state at any moment. I have a feeling this might be nigh impossible due to complexity of games...(?)
This functionality can (could) be found in: - KCS powercatrigde (C64 era) - Amiga emulator (WINUAE) - Dolphin/Wii emulator (PC)
They all have the functionality in which you can save the complete game state and reload at a hotkey press.
But due to the complexity of many games, I guess this is almost impossible.

It isn't the same as games that are able to run from a ROM chip or a file that is acting like a ROM chip. Games installed on your PC have files stored on your hard drive or in the cloud to some online service. Save states work by capturing all of the memory settings the game is using at the time and since the game is self contained, that memory snapshot can be loaded into running memory instantly.
To achieve this same affect on a PC installed game, you'd have to take an entire snapshot of the installed game and hope there isn't a cloud. Think of it this way: when you want to store and load your PC, you have to save every single thing into an image which can be hundreds of GBs in size. While it is possible, the process is very slow and unwieldy. PC games would be similar to that in states would be extremely large and be very slow to save and very slow to load.
In short, it isn't feasible.
Your bitterness, I will dispel

I had a feeling it would be something like this. Thank you anyway for the info!
