I have the same issue - I only have the machine gun from the start.
Can't change loadout or other weapons.
My difficulty setting is the second one (I think it's Hard)

It's been a while, and i was wondering if the yes or no alert bar cheats is possible, i suggest it but no news about it. Thank and sorry if my English is bad.

YOU dont see a bar CAL when you enter the yellow zones all hell breaks out it is impossible too sneak past the enemy as they are all over you
i have tried playing it on deathwish but you cant move because so many enemy are shooting you lol
too be able too walk through those zones undetected would be great --but it is up too you coders

again, is there a mission where you must sneak past them? Can you kill them and move on?

i will look it up and post back later yes you can kill them but it counts against the mission points

OKAY did any one figure out how too get out of Independence hall i can make it too the guard in the last guard shack but can not sneak up and kill him mission fails every time

Me too. I'm too far into it to start over at a different difficulty level. I was able to buy guns and upgrades but no bueno in using them or being able to use a changed loadout :/
