Can´t open the console! on Rage PC Message Board - Page 1

playing the game via steam

Trying to open the dev console... but no go , i have pressed all keys on keyboard
i have use the start option in steam and added +set com_allowConsole and +com_allowconsole
I have created a shortcut to rage.exe and added both +set com_allowConsole and +com_allowconsole and no go

i have even tried to create a "rageconfig.cfg" file and tried both allow commands...

So what to do?

I have the trainer, but it is buggy.. some options in the trainer makes the game unstable :P

The actual command for Steam is "+set com_allowconsole 1" without the quotes... without the 1 it will not work. Hope this helps.

Its working now
All i did was uninstall the game and install it via the game cd's, Not thru Steam download...
yes i have the original game on cd

And added the consol command at startup and in game pressing "Ö" I have a swedish keyboard
