The renown and fleet point options work fine, but the hp/shields/turrets/troops/weak ship options do not work. Tested on the space elves and imps.

Probably because they just added like you said, space elves, new race, new patch, new configuration, which means trainer needs to be updated, I would recommend patience.

So, guys, patch introduced the eldar. Cheat engine still works (save for the inf combustion which is useless for eldar). Here's what i've found out. My admiral's already at level 4 and it appears that eldar ships rely on movement to compensate for fragile armor. This isn't because the movement is for evasion (except maybe for ramming or torps) but rather because movement powers up the ships 'deflection/shields'.

If the ship is moving, it's shield's are maxed (80% of damage is negated) and an upgrade elevates that to 90%. To take it away, you need to disable their mobility. Stationary ship = dead ship. Shields drain once the ship stops. In addition all eldar weapons are apparently prow/forward facing which means they stop and fire.

It's advisable to switch to a broadside approach rather than forward since doing prow attacks WILL stop the ship and leave you shieldless and vulnerable. It's an excellent mechanic since you're basically forced to switch between a high-risk, high-reward offense or a attrition-based defense style.

In addition, shuriken weapons are pitifully weak against heavy-armored targets but are very accurate so your fleet will mostly rely on pulsar weaponry for those heavy-damage attacks (so get aurora light cruisers). Shadow cruisers don't have any pulsar weapons so you'll mostly rely on the light cruisers.

Also, transports can be upgraded in the shipyard. And i also recommended the alaitoc favour since they have a strike ability that can bypass shields which can be useful. Finally, I find the eldar to be highly effective against ork ships. They don't have all ahead full but are maneuverable enough that their evasion is top-notch. In addition, it might just be me but I could swear they actually stop once something tries to ram where they're supposed to go, hinting at an upgrade with the AI. So far, I've only ever lost one escort. I have a feeling I'll have a tougher time with the more maneuverable imperium.

this is on our list of games to update. keep in mind this title is still early release and the official 'release date' is only a week or two away.. so it may be a LOT of patches coming the next week or two as they are ramping up to release this game for real.

Not necessarily, it's not like the prow weapons are completely singular in firing direction. They've got a 45 degree firing arc (an estimate) that will let you get in some shots. I've tried it and the tactic works. This'll keep your ships alive long enough for you to micromanage specific ships and start dealing in some real damage. From experience, your pulsars are THE go-to choice. Pick your first target carefully, having all your ships focus on the only enemy battleship will let you get full prow shots before the dogfighting begins.

After that, it's a matter of keeping your forces alive and maneuvering your hardhitters for the juiciest barrages without stopping your ships and robbing them of their defense. I suggest the 6000 range since 3000 will make maneuvering difficult and WILL cause ships to stop to keep them from colliding with each other. Prioritize your targets and focus fire. It's not perfect, but it has given me consistent victories that even full upgrades won't guarantee.

I've even posted instructions. The rest is learn-yourself. Oh, and Im guessing the author will update the table only AFTER the game release. Worry not, though, renown, exp, skill and crew points are still functional. Fleet points as well.

P.S. Is it just me or has the pathfinding ai been improved? My ships actually try to avoid torpedoes and ramming ships. When i set them to broadside they try to minimize their own damage. Maybe its only more noticeable for the eldar but in any case this can only be overwritten if you give them a specific move order (like through a minefield) wherein they won't deviate even with danger in the way.

Indeed! We can wait as long as nesecary, besides, the full game is just a week away. If you don't update until then we will understand, it's not like the game is a life-sustaining drug! Take your time, and don't work to hard, you guys deserve a break!
