Please correct me if I'm wrong... but if you are playing single player (in the ones that have sp), you can turn off vac and there's no prob right? Dead Island has had vac since it's first time out and I just put it in single player, turn off vac and away I go and haven't had an issue.

The valve anti-cheat system is designed for co-op and multiplayer games only,
You can not be (vac banned) for playing single-player games by yourself.

However, if you started a co-op and multiplayer game or maybe joined one, then started to use that trainer on a "Vac" protected server, nothing is going to save your bacon at this point, so just make sure to always choose the option "Play offline - single player" so you are not going to have to connect to any of there servers or networks whatsoever. Normally "Vac" protected games have an option to turn this on and off, like dead island and resident evil 6 and some other games,

You will be fine, just do what your already doing, "Play offline - single player"

I always play Single Player game and NEVER online games I have played Red Faction Armmageddon and with no problems, Also it is a well known fact that if you use a Trainer on a MMO online you will get banned, please correct me if I am wrong:-)

Most MMOs will check if any changes are made on the fly, however most MMOs cannot be trained for the simple fact that data is server side, which you have no control over.

But some do exist that you can affect things, and yes they are usually screened quite well and have no problems using the ban hammer.

Cheat the game not the player!

OK here is a scenario what if Gabe and his company (Valve-Steam) was to introduce a VAC on all Steam games or games that use Steam to purchase and play where would that leave CHU if we could not use Trainers at the COST of getting Banned? Scary.. 🙁
