trainer activates, options do not make any changes or audio indications.

This was happening because I tried to run the trainer that was not a fresh game. I started a new game from the beginning and everything worked! Hope this helps others!

OK, the trainer works fine. Just one thing I've noticed - it appears as though the opponent AI players also get the benefits. This is particularly true of the research option, and I think that it also applies for the command points option (I just got bush-whacked by an enemy fleet with 200+ units in it).

No idea if this is avoidable or not. Maybe have a command point and research cheat that can be turned off before the AI turns?

I have noticed when I had trainer options ON, the A.I. seems to get 20+ planets really fast, much faster than when I didn't have options from a trainer... I have also noticed they seem to get rich too... just more ships than on a pre-trainer game, I had this game for a few days w/o a trainer, to see what the game ran like before CH came up with one..

So, I think an auto disabling cheat options list would work for the game and solve most of the over powering A.I., I think Civilization 5 had one at some point before you guys retired that trainer series..

Also, I want to point out that the population option does speed up pollution on all your controlled planets, so Only use that option when your ready to buy up a ton of automated scrubbers in each colony.. I forget what their called, but there is an option to buy something that will minimize the pollution..

There is also a risk of planets getting smaller, weird, but true... so definitely don't use the fast population if you can help it... at least not until the game gets more polished.. It seems to be really bad on the PSILON race, they clone like rabbits w/ that option enabled..

there is a lategame building that 100% eliminates pollution tho.

as for how it works.. i just finished a oooong game and frankly speaking.. after 150 turns or so the ai had not caught up with me, nor had more then tops 8 planets. so no. i do not think they get the trainer options. if they did, they would have been abit more challengiing lol.

Look I have a new MSI high end laptop and anything is possible with this lately, however I migrated all my games over and some play up because of the video card. I bought a 4k monitor and this game looks excellent in 4096 x 2160, Now the trainer works perfectly and activates, however it seems to drop in and out on the commands. I actually alt-tabbed and once the trainer was open on the planet page. I was able to use the numerical keys.
As I said I could use all the cheat keys and when i finnally had enough of the game and closed down the game, then the trainer... this is what the trainer produced in a notepad popup.

Several attempts to run the trainer.
Will try closing and reopening everything after a reboot.

Each ship can only hold so much "weight", as I've heard it described. It's a purple number when designing a ship, and it limits how much stuff you can put on each ship.
Maybe this can be changed? Would be cool to make super ships!
