Skill slot does not increase with the stats, it is bound with then skill tree, but as what I tested out, if you refill health for more then once or hit refill when it is already full, the skill slot with expand beyond 5 slots, and at early game, it will doom the game and make you unable to fight anymore.

wooow I too am going through the same thing most of you guys going through it made me quit the game all together

Agreed with post. Health cheat is what causes the ability slots to expand beyond 5 slots. I also noticed that if using the trainer while working out on the rug (one handed push-ups) and possibly all store bought workout equipment, you can watch your attributes raise in real time.

Best not to click on Health cheat (number pad #2 default) and you shouldn't have any problems.

@super_tramp79 I also tried starting the game without the trainer and I am still stuck and can't fight.... D me aswell as other have to make a new file?

i wont be changing this version of the trainer at all. regarding the 'health' cheat.. this not for health when you are fighting but the meter at the top right of the screen that shows your 'health' overall. Anyways, the value it writes is 1000, but that can be changed to 100 via the custom trainer ability. Since the max health meter is 100 (supposedly) you can just make it write that.

regarding the game (which is a script compile at runtime game, and coded with some sort of adventure maker type SKD), the order that the data is written in memory must change over time. therefore, use the trainer to give you massive agility, strength, and stamina and money at the beginning of the game if you find that the values are being jumbled later in the game and just use the money and high strength, etc. to buy food and to win the fights.

I figured it was the empty slot that I had left that made me unable to start fights again. And, being pretty early in the game, I didn't have much skills to fill up the slot. In fact, if I had one more, I probably wouldn't have the problem. Trainer, definitely didn't have anything to do with it. I guess we were all eager to raise our stats into God status and enjoy. Trainer works as intended. Thanks, for the pointing out the health option. I'll avoid it. Gonna restart the game.

i did some tinkering and have updated the trainer to work slightly differently. Also added skill points options

It definitely is the trainer causing the skill slots to expand... saying it isn't is false information.

It probably is the health option causing the issue... I pressed all the buttons on the trainer to test things out and everything worked as intended... it just expanded my skill slots to over 40.

I had 7 initially and had the same problem, the game developers limited to showing you only 5 skills because they assumed it'd be impossible to access those far areas of the other two skill trees... and they'd be right. The skill points required to reach those far ends get ridiculously high in numbers.

So that being said, the trainer DOES indeed mess up your skill slots, but if it's the health option, it can be easily avoided... I hacked this game with an infinite money trainer and used CoSMOS to hack skill points before it got patched... and that was enough to beat the game.

I should of just left well enough alone but the tedium of this game got the best of me, I got greedy and got punished for it. I just wanted this trainer to maintain my agility...

I had 8 str, 22 agility and 8 stam... once you have your main stat over 20 you can basically win every fight in the game, providing you equip on the right skills. I was losing massive gains near the end of the game trying to raise my fame high enough to continue the game and that's where I got greedy.

If it's the health option on the trainer causing the issue, then avoid it... but this trainer definitely glitched my skill slots... I had bought every possible skill I could and I could equip them all and then some, which prevented me from continuing.

I'm not here to complain, just to verify to be careful using this trainer, the game sucks balls any way and I won't waste my time further, I just came back to check to see if this issue was resolved as I don't want the same thing happening to future users.
