Sorry if this sounds stupid/dumb, but how do I get game to run in offline mode?
It's best you don't download and use the updated trainer if you want to play the game's multiplayer on VAC-protected servers.
Even going totally offline on both Steam and the game could get you VAC/TAC banned when you go back online, so unless we can gain confirmation that no one here got banned after using the trainer even with Steam online and the game run offline, it's best you don't use this trainer first until we get good news about this.

I have to agree I was just VAC banned even though I was totally offline with everything... good thing I hate the multiplayer I guess... still annoying though.
That is just Treyarch wanting to control the entire CoD: Black Ops III game with the TAC system, they are totally nuts and a few weeks ago, they went absolutely mad on Twitter posting a pic of a hammer with 100,000 of online cheaters TAC banned inscribed on the upper plate and for the first time in the CoD:BO series' history, they put a bottom plate inscribing another 50,000 players TAC banned for just cheating with trainers offline, including those using Caliber's trainer.
I also stopped playing Black Ops III for now, I was contemplating activating and installing it in my third and current Steam account but I decided not to seeing the control freaks Treyarch have become.
