Ok, so I tried my luck on a 4K G-Sync monitor and games would not run, my PC would stutter in game, and then the entire PC would shut down. I was not a fan of 4K anyway, because of how it resized everything desktop wise. So here is my question, I think my issue was obviously my CPU, if you look at my signature you will see my specs. It is clearly not my RAM or my GPU. With my setup do you guys think I can pull of a 1440 monitor? Here is the one I am considering: Link

Are you using a stock cooler on your GPU? I would advise you to take temperature metrics with your GPU. I have to game at 1080p despite being on 4k because my GPU will overheat itself (causing a crash of the system). I suspect this is likely the cause of yours crashing as well. My 4K otherwise is mainly used for watching videos/shows/movies through Netflix (they serve 4k content) and web browsing.

I would try reducing your game resolution to 1440p on your current 4k monitor and see if the system is stable with that resolution before burning money on a monitor.
    Your bitterness, I will dispel

You really need to have a beast of a system to run 4k

My rig: AMD FX 6350 Six core CPU @ 3.9 GHz
    16 gig Corsair 1866 ram
    GTX 980 4 gig
    3 Crucial 200MX SSD's
    2 Plextor Blu-Ray Drives
    Korean 27" IPS monitor
    I do all my gaming @ 2560x1440
So you should'nt have any problems doing 1440p.......

Thanks for all the kind replies. Amazon was kind enough to let me return the 4K monitor. As for the one I am looking at, does anyone have any experience with BenQ? My only concern is losing color detail because it is not an IPS monitor.

Can't play 1440 either, found the problem. The Titan's fan is not running. EVGA is sending me a new one.
