I was wondering if there is an editor out there that the user can use to obtain the best ship and load out.

    Thanks

that's kinda a bit difficult. from my gatherings, the game resets a sort of procedurally generated set of systems every time you start a new game along with that systems tech levels.

I've never run into the Blackgate Dreadnought in less than two to three system jumps away from a new game starting location.

the easiest way from my experience of getting a hold of the best or at least your choice ship the fastest you possibly can, is to simply make for the hills and go searching about the other star systems and various big stations and seeing what they have available... I think the main militia has the best gear, (not the PMCs, the main military faction stations) at least for straight up fighting and how many guns one single ship can mount.

If you don't immediately find the high tier of ship you want off the bat, you need only move onto the next star system on your map and keep searching the relatively limited number of systems that generate at the beginning of every new game.

specific faction ships like the Damocles (pirate faction) and the Minotaur (PMC/mercenary faction) Destroyers are faction relations bound ships and I've not seen an editor for any such stats, though frankly, I haven't been looking, I just grind a few faction missions to get the standing I need for those ships.

but ships like the Blackgate, and Polaris Dreadnoughts, the Manticore destroyer, and Vanguard heavy frigates, and others are not faction locked, simply tech locked, easily circumvented by just travelling the systems looking for one that has the required tech level, giving yourself as much cash as you want/need through the trainer, and buying them.

TL;DR - move from system to system until you find a station (usually militia station) that sells the badass ship and gear you were hoping to start with. unless you're looking for a faction specific ship - in which case, start sucking up to them and you'll have what you want soon enough.

    good luck ship hunting.

I've got the Polaris with Mk6 everything and it's very rare I get challenged. The Polaris is not restricted by faction but mererly by level. I only used 3 ships. Went straight from the initial starter ship to the Trennhaussen, then to the Polaris.
