Ok so I thought I would ask the people that probably know the best. I've been a PC guy since way back last console I had was an original PS. I was thinking of delving into the consoles as I've heard there are gonna be some good sales this holiday season. I have no idea what to get though. Any suggestions?? Which console plays nice with your PC for like media files. I'm not really into sports games...mostly FPS'ers and Dungeon crawlers are my thing. Or should I not bother and just stick with PC?

Any help, suggestions would be appreciated thanks.

PC with an XBox controller and you have an instant console. Plus you will usually always find pc games for less $$. Unless there was some title that was exclusive to PS4 or XB1 that you just had to have. Otherwise you get better graphics and the same experience with a usb controller. Remember both systems are just low end(compared to most gamers) Amd PC's with onboard gpu's.

Microsoft is also releasing(finally) the wireless usb dongle for the XB1 controller for windows.

Watch Big Bang Theory episode 19 of season 7 "The Indecision Amalgamation". It will tell you all you need to know!

Well, both consoles are similar really. There is no clear winner. BUT you can decide if you consider which exclusives appeal to you more. Which controller design suits you more maybe Aaaaand just where your heart's leaning towards more.

Me? I've always been a PlayStation guy since day one. I love it and I'll stick to their products. That's where I feel comfortable with a console.

My advice? Watch youtube videos, see what each console is capable of and how it looks from the inside (menus I mean), and read about both consoles exclusives. After reading all that I'm pretty sure you'll have a clear idea of what suits you more without anyone's help.

Look at what exclusives sound appealing on each system. I would wager that the PS4 library would suit your tastes more.
