his game sucks when it comes to using an Xbox 360 controller due to whatever changes the developer made when making the PC version.

I have been scouring the internet for a decent controller config but most configs are bad in one way or another. I have created a decent setup where you do not need to use the Keyboard or Mouse most of the time!

Firstly, you need to install Antimicro which is a controller mapping program. Here is the setup I use for this game using Antimicro:

(Using Default Key Mappings From Game)

    LEFT STICK
    Up: W
    Down: S
    Left: Z
    Right: C

    RIGHT STICK
Click on center R stick Button. At top choose Mouse (normal). This will make Right Stick U,D,L,R use mouse. Click on Mouse Settings at the bottom. Now in Horizontal Speed type in 150 and in Veritcal Speed type in 50. Now close the window.

With those settings, you move forward/backwards/left/right with the Left Stick. The mouse is tied to the Right Stick which you use to turn around as well as highlight buttons/settings/change things/etc. with mouse cursor.

    D-PAD
    Up: 4
    Down: 5
    Left: 6
    Right: 7

D-pad numbers let you select the 4 options (force power, health, stimulants, mines) at the bottom right corner. Use the Right Stick to cycle through each selection and the D-Pad to activate.

    Left trigger: Q
    Right Trigger: E
(Triggers allow selecting previous and next such as cycling through the enemies or characters you wish to talk to)

Left Shoulder: TAB (cycles through your active party members)

Right Shoulder: M (opens the map screen)

A: Mouse Left Button (used to select object/option/default action)

    B: P (character screen)

    X: U (equipment screen)

    Y: i (inventory screen)

    Back: Space (pause/unpause)

    Guide: L (quests screen)

    Start: ESCAPE

    LS Click: J (messages screen)

    RS Click: F4 (quick save)

I've only been playing with this setup for a few minutes but I am liking it a lot so far. The only real issue was solving the mouse movement which I think I did that decently with this.

I have uploaded a saved config file if you don't want to set everything up your self:

    www.speedyshare.com/NXdqB/starwarskotor1.gamecontroller.amgp

Just plug in the controller and load this config.

Also, I have not tried this on mini-games/space battles so I don't know what it is like in those. May have to use a k/m for those.

    Try it out.
