I might want to mention my budget is for a USED CAR within the $200-300 a month range.. On a 5 year payment plan.. Keep in mind most insurance quotes I got will be around $100 on top of the dealer payments..

I'm looking for maximum MPG, I want to go a month or longer without fueling up, I mainly drive around town, occasionally go out of town, but nothing substantial.. My current 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee is a BIG CLUNKER, it's gonna cost at least $3,000 just to fix the most critical parts, NOT including shocks, struts, or the malfunctioning hatchback, or the $5,000 paint job it really needs.. The previous 3 owners were ALL women and did they know what a repair shop was? NOPE, nothing was fixed for 12 YEARS, The very last owner before me unloaded the Jeep on me 3 years ago, and guess what? She got a TANK of a Chevy Suburban... WHAT A MORON... I'm trying to get this Jeep of my hands, I'm really interested in FORD FOCUS' model year 2014 or later current M.Y. is 2016... but back to my main question, what make, model of car should I get that's NOT too expensive??

**DO NOT BUY CARS FROM "A Friend of a Friend, or their daughters"**

Side note, women, don't take this post as a blast against all women, I'm just calling out those few that choose to drive a vehicle until it's DEAD before thinking of fixing it.

It's not only in the US and it's not only VW. VW, Škoda, Audi, Seat all of those are under VW group and all these companies have used the same illegal software. He can still get a VW as long as it's using petrol and not diesel.

I'll go with Audi because I like them the most, there are quite a lot of them here and I'll be getting one myself rather soon. Petrol/gas engine of course combined with LPG, no thank you on diesel.

Can't tell you which model of Audi to get as I don't know the price ranges of used cars in the USA, but I'll be getting a used 2010-2012 A4 for around 10-15k euro. That being said, I won't be buying it with monthly rates but with cash as I'm taking a loan from a bank.

Generic Honda or Toyota (care with Prius...they get good mileage but their build quality tends to be shoddy) car based on what you want and your constraints. Good mileage, generally indestructible if properly maintained, and so generic that the prices tend to be low.
    Your bitterness, I will dispel
