Chris, I was answering a post in Witcher-3 trying to help a guy with a problem. I posted 4-5 lines of text then was posting a link to a Youtube video and I was Blocked. Message said:

    Sorry, you have been blocked
You are unable to access cheathappens.com

    Why have I been blocked?

This website is using a security service to protect itself from online attacks. The action you just performed triggered the security solution. There are several actions that could trigger this block including submitting a certain word or phrase, a SQL command or malformed data.

What can I do to resolve this?

You can email the site owner to let them know you were blocked. Please include what you were doing when this page came up and the CloudFlare Ray ID found at the bottom of this page.

    That ID info is:

    CloudFlare Ray ID: 21f7f019bb620322
    Your IP: (removed)
    Performance & security by CloudFlare

    /Sigh

I know you need them, just hoping for some solution or compromise to this. I'm starting to think editing url's when creating clickable links is setting off Cloudflare.

Any kind of excessive punctuation, HTML type code, embeds, etc will set off the security protocols because they too much resemble SQL injection, XSS and other attack methods. Our site is attacked over 100,000 times per day using every attack you can think of so we have to keep the security high. You are welcome to contact cloudflare directly with the exact content of your post and maybe they can tell you what is setting it off. I post tons of messages and edits every day and I only get the message once every month or so.

Do you have a number for them that they would answer for a quick question? Google's kinda vague.

It seems like it's blocking the process more than the actual characters because all I'm doing is removing characters from the link when it happens so others can click it. If that's all it is, I could circumvent the process by just editing the link on my Desktop then pasting it in the reply. Think that might work?

(This feels like an "I dunno, try it" reply coming)

I think you have to have a cloudflare account in order to submit a request. You can try support@cloudflare.com

Are you using any shared or special public IP (like campus, university etc.) or any proxy or VPN?

It may be a good idea to wait some hours first and see if it works then before contacting cloudflare.

No, none of that. It's just a simple 75 mbps direct connect cable service. Just a single PC not even using a router and no VPN or proxy.

And when it happened, I just opened a new window and did another, albeit slightly simpler, reply to the message. It really does seem like it alerts when I edit a URL for a clickable link.

I've been through the same problem and fixed it by cleaning the browser's cache...if my memory can be trusted
