I'm sure you mean mature...wise...experienced...sage... sophisticated...venerable.

Great video, I almost could see my old IBM 32

And thanks for refreshing my fragmented memory

Wait.... what video?

This one: [url]youtube.com/watch?v=7FjX7r5icV8' target='_blank'>Link (youtube.com/watch?v=7FjX7r5icV8).

This video's embedded on the web page you provided:[url]mentalfloss.com/article/26316/why-does-my-gadget-say-its-december-31-1969' target='_blank'>Link under "Learn more about Unix from Ken Thompson and Dennis Ritchie, two of the creators of Unix".

Cuz like most kids we've aged with time, like good wine and cheese (some, not all), getting older make us better (some, too!).

Thanks for the question

haha great answer, I personally always been very mature for my age, but treated like a kid due to majority of stupid teens. I'll get old enough, sooner or later lol

I guess our settings are different Marc. I see the sentence about the two guys and UNIX but there's no link showing. Just a large blank white box below that.

That's some older equipment in that video alright. Seems like a few lifetimes ago. My first business computer was a Xerox 820-II using CPM language. After that we went to an IBM PC-AT with a floppy and 10MB HDD.

I have more memory in my current gaming PC than we used to have in total storage space on our first several PC's at work.

RPG 2 was the IBM 32 language and I still remember when I had to translate it to connect with a TRS 80 to get the data from different construction sites through telephone lines (before internet's birth).

Lots of sleepless nights, but joy when completed and restaurant for all the employees
