Jak 2 Message Board  

My son is a Jak2 fanatic, but he's stuck in one of the dungeons or slums or whatever. At some place where there's an electric fence and a spiked bulldozer. Can someone please tell me how to tell him to get OVER that damn fence!!!? It's driving us crazy and so is he! Is it jumpable? Or do you have to go in the other door and be chased by the bulldozer? Thanks!

you dont jump over it,you go around it.go to the left first,then straight,then right,jump,right again,the you go down a little.and you on the other side of it.when you go down to the next lvl.,it breaks through the gate.

I'm not sure if I explained it right. I'm also not sure which room I'm in, but if you go left you end up in a room where alarms buzz and the bulldozer begins chasing you and shooting at you. Is that the "left" you're talking about? He can't seem to get past that room. The bulldozer gets him every time. The fence isn't really a fence... it's about 5 lines of electricity going up and down, and moving constantly. The only other choice is the room to the left - which doesn't seem to be very easy for him to get out of. Thanks for any help you can give him... he loves the game but this room is really frustrating him. I've tried myself and I can't get through it either! hahahaha

Well, Mom, when you do go 'left' you have to keep going and jump onto the platforms as it circles around to the right of that 'room' or whatever. Jump off of that high platform(you can see Jak through something that looks like a fence) and there is a lower one beyond that fence. (confused yet?) The security tank will keep shooting and eventually bust through that fence. If you get this far, reply with any further questions. Happy to help!

you go through the door not the one with the electic fence. You have to douge all the shots and jump over the lasers when you get passed all the lasers things you jump on some boxes then to the right is a pole you jump on that then the leged above that.

Oh, I forgot. If you look at your map, it might be easier. So you know where that ledge is that you need to jump on.

OK - just cracked this.

First go through the gate on the left by going to the far left of the gate. As the alarm goes get ready to run diagonally right. Jink hard left just before you get to the wall and dodge behind the wall on the corner. Keep moving all the time and run for the first jump, then hard right for the double jump into the corner of the room.

Here is the key. The tank follows you, but when it fires it pauses, so if it does have you targetted then do a quick reverse, then pause while it fires at your original position then go back in the main direction again.

Once you have done the jump into the corridor with the lasers there is a degree of luck involved, but a cool nerve works wonders. Keep moving or the tank will run you over, but it's aim is pretty bad at close range, so your main concentration needs to be on the laset beams. Keep moving as fact as you can and just time your jumps over the beams until you can hang a hard right into the room with the boxes at the end. Jink left and right down here then jump onto the boxes and hard right onto the swing beam.

Jut when you think you have made it past the level the tank will break through. Don't fall down off the platform if you can help it. Grab health from the crates and hide behind the pipework until the tank goes past below. The time your jumps onto the rotating platforms and break the two flasks in the middle of each. Once they are broken you can jump off the platfoms onto another ledge and you are there.
