The game CAN be played offline, but what you lose is things like the chance to trade with other players and see what other people have built in the game and such, that being said your chance of encountering another player while online is something like 1 in 100,000.

There will be trainers and tables for this games single player, you can guarantee that. If however that carries over to the multiplayer when you go online then that's on the individual, I seriously don't think it will be an issue in this game though, I mean I don't even think there are leaderboards, just the option to upload your discoveries and trade.

This is not EVE online or The Division It's something very very different, and predominantly single player with an offline mode. It has trading dogfighting and discovery sharing elements with real people when you go online, but that will obviously be very rare if there is only a 1 in 100,000 chance of running into another online player.

tl;dr It has Offline single player, crisis over. 😀

You can not trade with other players you can see them and kill them but thats all. Its not a proper MP or MMO or Co Op. Its set in a MP world. But that is all. They may evolve the MP if sales show the interest.

If they change/expand the MP aspect, what would that mean for a Trainer if one is released/made for this game?

From everything stated by the No Man's Sky Developers there is offline play. However, I am unsure how Cheat Happens would guarantee their trainer wont work on Multiplayer. The Main only difference in online vs offline will be no globally shared discoveries. So you won't be able to share your discoveries. You won't be able to run into other players not that you necessarily will know they are other players. From what has been posted the AI act very similarly and are not differentiated at all. Lastly if you play offline you might miss out on any global events that might be held by Hello Games but again Online/Offline it might not be a big enough difference to even tell. The real question at the end of the day if you play offline and cheat and then go online will the game detect it and if so will Hello games ban you for playing with a character that you have cheated with. But we will have to see.

This game is almost entirely offline. Anything encountered by a player is synced to a server so that discoveries are shared with other players. Even online play is not really online. It uploads what is encountered to a server and downloads other players' data to your machine. There is really no interaction between anyone. It is almost impossible to find anyone given the size of a player and the sheer vastness of the universe. I mean, the game isn't limited to just one galaxy, it expands exponentially to other universes with random spawn points. I'm not sure how much more single player you can get from being alone in the universe.

An interesting trainer option, that I would like, is to be able to move the camera around, or at least in front of the character looking back, so that I can see, what my character looks like. Supposedly only another player can tell you, what you look like, there are no reflecting surfaces, and it's locked first person.

Also nice options would be: immortality, suite, rocket pack, hazard, multi tool, and ship power/fuel always on max, and set max for all materials in inventory (or selected).

Folks on the PS4 have been able to play completely offline so I'm hoping the same is true with the pc version. Only time will tell on Friday.

If we're lucky that a Trainer is possible, following functions should be implemented:

    - Inf-Health*
    - Inf-Armor*
    - Inf-Ammo*
    - Inf-Storage Space (normally, only a few resources can be taken)
    - Fast-Walking
    - Inf-Credits
    - Inf-Resources
    *for player and ship

Additionaly, the function to add a certain number of credits and resources would be nice. Also the possibility to fill up health and armor would be good. So everyone can freely choose the way of cheating.

If there does end up being a trainer for this game. I don't know what I'll use it for. Considering the game is all about exploration, I may just use it for inf resources to avoid hours of grinding to afford things and instead just try to visit as many planets as possible. If the grind isn't bad and it's easy to take advantage of resource gathering then I may not ever use a cheat for this one.

This game is NOT multiplayer. That's been made abundantly clear.
It's also part of why the community got so ****ed off, because they were lied to.

I'm upset, not because I had any interest in multiplayer, but just knowing that the devs have been lying. Because if they've been lying about this for so long, what else are they lying about?

    Basically the cheats I'd like:

    Infinite Health (player/ship)
    Infinite Ammo/Charge (for weapons)
Add Resources (like you have for Starbound, where you can mouse over something and hit the button to increase how much you have, or just max out the stack)
