I hear the trainer can get you banned in single player.

Blizzard says this is because your ACHIEVEMENTS are linked to your Single Player game thus cheating affects that.

So what about if you start a single player game then use a normal StarCraft cheat (which disables achievements) then start using the trainer? Wouldn't that qualify as no longer disrupting the achievement system thus being safe?

Or is it better to maintain internet block (offline mode) when using the trainer?

You could also record yourself playing then if they decide to ban you for using trainer in single player despite the fact you already enabled chests (thus disabling achievements) and you remained in single player then they have no right to ban you and you can sue them (and you will have video evidence of it).

Personally I would not even use a trainer with any Blizzard game at all. You could try doing that. But they could then pull the fact you are still using a program which effects how the game was supposed to be played. Which I think they will probably have something in the EULA/TOS which will be pulled up.

So better to be safe than sorry. Oh and it will probably end up with you being watched more for any form of third party program usage.

Blizzard better watch themselves they are close to a class action or perhaps the European Court of Justice will deal with them (I'm from UK) since in Europe there is more protection against this kind of crap.
