Hello i would like to make a request for a beginners guide as i have just bought this game and i looked over on there official forums and found the guide over there a little bit confusing, for e.g when using the jump drive i line up my nav marker and everything and i still over jump or worse go into uncontrolled jump and end up thousands of light years away from my nav lock jump point, other times i end up dropping right into a star or asteroid field and get blown up.

So if anyone would be upto making a guide of sorts with easy to understand descriptions of how to get round in space i'd appreciate it very much.

Please people don't start flaming me on this thread because i asked for a guide i have only had the game two days and am finding it quite difficult to navigate.

hmm getting into asteroids has never happened to me, thank god my 1 million credits starship is expensive to replace lol. But there isn't much to it really every hyper drive has a limit range, if you wanna go somewhere with higher range you set a course and the game makes you a route, and basically just keeps following, me I personally end up in suns all the time and have to steer upwords very quickly

I watched that already, and the other videos associated first thing i checked, however for some reason i still cannot fathom i still cannot execute a smooth jump, i understand the jump range etc and i plotted a small test jump between two systems about 1.8 ly between when executing the jump i accelerate as expected and keep throttle within the blue safe zone, however i still end up overshooting and it seems on most occasions i go faster than what it shown in those videos like a hyper jump or something when i do finally slow down as i say i either hit a sun or asteroid field or worse yet end up in the middle of nowhere, surely i am missing something here ? any further help would be appreciated. ty

If you can record one of your jumps for me, and I could try to explain what you do wrong, Also the blue marker is not "safezone" It's the speed where you gain the best manouverbility. Also if you like I can at some point do a session with you and a jump

Actually that's not true, while in supercruise the blue line indicates the idle journey speed for you to exit safely and it updates as closer as you get to your object.

When you hyper jump expect to be pulled out a couple of times or so because when you go too near to a star you automatcally pulled out and you'll have to hyperjumo again.
About the supercruise you're probably doing everything right and it's only a matter of practice and intuition, it took me hours to perform one perfect jump.
The game isnt easy and it's not meant to be, it's a space sim which supposed to give you the closest experience to reality and reality is never easy but that what makes it so good.

It's actually not it's still for best manouverbility the whole throttle goes down and the blue line goes down with it that's all
