The last two days when I fire up Far Cry 4 on UPlay and after clicking the Steam applet, UP now gives me a notice that it failed to synchronize achievements. Just as I've gotten pretty close to 100%, too. Pftht.

Anybody have that happening on UP or know a fix for this?

I think the best would be to contact Ubisoft customer support.

I know by experience that could be lengty and arduous at time, but I don't know any better way

Drat. Ok, thanks guys. I logged into their support forums yesterday and there was already somebody with the exact same problem. Unfortunately it was months old and UPlay hadn't bothered to answer him for several months. Kinda what I expected there.

I have the 2 co-op missions I need already lined up with another CH friend and I'm sure there's an elephant willing to whack 20 more bad guys. The world may never know about my perfect game but elephants never forget.

See what happens when you're off pretending to work instead of staying here at your post?

Actually I found some info about this. Some guys said to uninstall and reinstall UPlay. There's some backing up I guess I have to do so I guess I'll get those directions and give it a shot.

Otherwise, now it's not saving any game progress like in the Durgesh DLC so you can't advance to the next stage after you escape in the chopper. Did I mention - ppfftthhtt.

EDIT: Here's a link on the issue if anybody gets the same problem. Checkout this link:

EDIT-2 Ok, found this in a Ubi thread. Apparently this problem happens to other folks in bunches. I'll post this if it happens to you to save you looking for it. Some said it worked, others said it did not.

Before uninstalling I backup-ed two sub folders in "Ubisoft game launcher" folder - "cache" and "savegames" (actually, in process of uninstalling, he asks whether to leave "savegames" folder, but it’s better to be safe ).

At start he warned that "some Uplay games will be uninstalled too", but since all my Ubi games are in Steam, they weren't touched.
I think the simplest way to prevent Uplay from uninstalling your Uplay games is to rename "Ubisoft" folder where the games are installed to something like "_Ubisoft_", and to create another empty "Ubisoft" folder in the same directory. Then, after you uninstall/reinstall Uplay and before running it for the first time, delete the empty folder and rename "_Ubisoft_" back to "Ubisoft".
Never tried it though, but I suppose it could work.

In case of Steam games nothing like that is needed, and after reinstalling Uplay you don’t even need to do anything to make Uplay redetect game’s files, they’re detected automatically.
Only thing you have to do is to re-enter your email and password, and after Uplay loads – to change the settings from default ones to your personal preferences.

hmm... damn UPlay, I simply asked for a refund of all the games that needed Uplay to run on

it is just as much of a headache as the damn software that Max Payne 3 from Rockstar requires.
