Strange I do not experience any, lagg, CTD's or freezes. Everything runs smoothly for me well I did turn off most of the post processing options they are a bit too heavy for my vga (GTX 760 DCII OC).
Things like character detail or textures are all on high for me. Still a very beautifull game imo. Did you apply the first day patch from GoG? And is your game installed on a SSD?

My game is installed on HDD, not SSD. I leave it for OS only.
I do have post processing on and all settings are up to ultra settings. Not getting lags or anything but whenever I go to the inventory, my game occasionally freezes. As a matter of fact, right after posting the OP, I went ahead and played a bit. Just now I got a hung up while checking out my items in inventory. I'm also not using any inventory option from the trainer. Just the option 1 and 2 for health and stamina.
I saw that borderless screen vs full screen option causes some issues...so I put it back to standard full screen and it solved the hanging a bit but not entirely.
I have no idea what's going on.
My game is on Steam and not GOG version. I applied the new NVIDIA driver patch for Witcher 3. Many also rolled back their drive but still having issues.
As for game, it runs perfectly smooth, no stutter or frame drops. It's just the inventory part...

It has Not happened again strangely enough.
But the graphics are on Par with DA3, Though with DA3 I have Max settings on for everything but Not This, most are max but some stuff is off like our friend above in the comments as I have the Same Card.

I am assuming DA3 being Dragon Age 3? In that case: I have DA3 all ultra setting and not even once did I get CTD or hung up. Well maybe once but I was messing around with the trainer the wrong way.
In this case, I have no clue. It's quite annoying. Also found a post on steam, many are suffering from this issue and nothing is working. Most of them also have GTX 970.
They better fix the damn game with a patch.
I was having the same inventory hang. Try changing your FPS cap from 60 to unlimited.
Guys, someone posted a fantastic fix which worked for me.
Turn off Vsync and set frame rate to unlimited and bye bye CTD.

Saw this one on GOG post as well. I guess I'll give this a go and see how it works for me. Thanks for the info.
