WWE 2K15 needs an update due to the dlc

Awesome trainer but I think I'm doing something wrong. The options work but when it switches characters in the 2k Showcase matches the options don't extend to whoever the player is controlling. I'm wondering if someone could tell me if that's intended or, if I'm doing something wrong, how I can remedy it?

Is there anything that I can do to remedy this? I've made sure to keep the game updated but when I start a career mode the game crashes, then the trainer crashes. If there's a work around for this please let me know.

Update as of this morning: now the game will not even load up career mode without crashing/

Does anyone know if this game been retired? To the posters above: Is the trainer still not working?
Also, a heads up to anyone who is interested in the game. STEAM has the game on sale for 13 bucks right now. Sales ends soon though.
