Owe I have a feeling I have to play Michael, Franklin and Trevor and have a safe house and the bed most likely saves your progress, I've only made it through two characters so far!.

I had quit after Franklin thinking once he walked into his house the game saved, but that wasn't the case, I probably have to play Trevor before full save progress is available, correct me on this if you like!..

you can use the quicksave feature on your phone to save anytime or anywhere you want.

yea my first playthrough i quit just as Franklin stepped in the door, if I would of walked to his bedroom the games tutorial message on screen would of told me in his bedroom!..

Owe I took a selfie of Franklin with the Snapmatic feature and then changed the phone screen wallpaper color to gray

I've continued to play through as Franklin and found a type in-game.

The Key Bindings page shows Use F5 to switch to Michael, Use F6 to switch to Frankin and Use F7 to switch to Trevor.

Note the spelling of Franklin's name

But I did see the tutorial about where to save by using the BED to sleep in.

Could also just use the quick save option in phone menu, i did that quite a bit.

when I went into the livingroom of Franklins place to change or turn on the TV my game saved there too!..
