When I run some trainers, a window pops up saying 'Click to start program'. However, when I click 'Ok', another window pops up asking 'How do you want to open this type of file (.tmp)'. So far, it's happened for Far Cry, Far Cry 3 and Dust: An Elysian Tail. I've tried putting the trainers in the same folder as the games themselves, but that hasn't worked, and the readme files all said to activate the trainer before the game, and that's what I've been doing the whole time.

I'm wondering if anyone has had this problem before, and if so, do they have any suggestions. I'm using Windows 8.1 as my OS, would that have anything to do with it?

Sounds like your Secuirty programs are interfering with the trainer. Turn it off and try again.

I've turned off my firewall and tried running the trainers again. It still gives the 'Click to start program' and 'How do you want to open' windows. Do you know what other programs, security or otheriwse, might interfere with them?

Thank you, that worked! I can run the trainers now. They show the click to run window and when I click, they show up after a few seconds. Again, thank you!
