Tried all the trainers for this game but they all keep crashing as soon as I start up the trainer. Just to test it out I downloaded other trainers for randomly selected games on the site and they all worked just fine.

You don't have .NET 4.5 installed, you only have 4.0.
You need 4.5 to run the trainer...

Good point is that the patch seems to finally fix the Vanishing issue, now you reappear correctly behind your opponent... which makes the game playable and more dynamic IMHO.
Meanwhile I posted my save, try it and tell me if you get an issue but don't forget to remove the steam cloud option before changing the save.
I tried a couple times to change saves and it should work fine.
I also fixed the issue of the battle items thanks to another trainer found while googling like crazy about the battle items bug, the trainer just fixed it. (It was an option of the trainer itself, it would be great if folks at CheatHappens could also include this fix in their trainer. Maybe reverse engineer that trainer? It shouldn't work on new version, here's the link though for CH folks:
