is this two executables? in other words would require 2 trainers?

This will be interesting to see what they have done.

yes 2 different games so I think it will requiere 2 trainers. Anyway I hope the trainers will lift up the limited ship number we can play and allow the building of more massive fleet.

If they make the same options for the remastered versions, as is in the Homeworld 2 trainer, then it should go fine.

Playing homeworld 2 all you had to do was queue up some ships you wanted, even if you were told that you couldn't build more, and press the "Instant Build" option on the trainer.
Using that method i have had some Epic space battles these last days. February can not pass fast enough for me.

One thing i personally hope for is that they have put sufficient work into the new engine. The old engine has problems handling too many ships or enemies (on-screen and off-screen) which makes the game lag badly. I don't know if you know this, but the developers actually contacted one of the creators of the Complex mod for the original homeworld 2 and he have been working closely with them ever since. This gives me hope that the new engine should be able to handle some EPIC space battles. As the team behind the Complex mod always wished and wanted for a new engine that could handle more details and ships, on-screen or of-screen, without causing the game to lag or stutter.

Regarding the trainer, if i may be so humble as to make a small suggesting, i would be more than fine with the same options for the remastered versions as is in the Homeworld 2 trainer as of today. If they are possible, that is.

Not only do you get the two remastered versions of the game -plus- the original two versions of the game, steam will also be doing the online servers for this game, so we can actually play this online again, as the original service was taken down ages ago.

And Cal, in steam it just shows the Homeworld Remastered, I think that one thing installs all four games, so I'm guessing it's just one executable.

....and 100 dollars for collectors, don't make me laugh

Dont forget that the collectors comes with the "Pride of Hygeria" Mothership Desk Statue including lighting and hand painted of which only a set ammount will ever be made. So the 100$ is not that much if your a true fan!

Homeworld was my favorite space game for a long time. Can't wait to play the remastered version!
