I have a problem with sound on my computer. Everything works fine until I put my computer on Sleep Mode, after I log in to windows again after "Sleep Mode" I can't hear any sound. But when you click the speakers icon on the taskbar, it shows that the music is there (pic Link )

I tried to uninstall sound drivers and re-install them but that didn't help. i updated the drivers but no results. I also tried to search for a solution online but they only mentioned driver installation/update or other things I didn't actually understand.

    Any suggestions?

    Try this:

"Click start menu. go into the run command.
    type "services.msc" without the quotes
scroll down to windows audio. right click and highlight properties.
go to the recover tab and click the panels always have it set to restart the service."

I actually saw this solution somewhere before and tried it. Didn't fix it. :\

This used to happen to me all the time. I was never able to find a good fix for it other than rebooting or putting it back to sleep and waking it again. The only thing I ever figured out was that it had to do with the on-board sound card on the motherboard, I just ended up not putting the computer to sleep anymore. It is really frustrating because I could never really narrow it down to what was causing it. Some posts I read said it was the drivers (on-board drivers are rarely updated) where others would say it was a Window's service problem.

Is it mistakenly delivering sound to the wrong output jack (e.g. plugged in the back but computer attempting to deliver sound through front jack)?
    Your bitterness, I will dispel

Which sound card are you using? Also check if it's set on default.

Here's the info about this part Link
I don't know if that answers your question. The thing is, it's working perfectly atm but after the sleep I can't hear anything.

It doesn't say anything that can help with troubleshooting. Usually your sound driver comes with a control panel that shows you what is in use.

Here's an example of mine: Link

My headphones and speakers are on two different speaker ports. I must manually switch it here to pick which one I want.
