So i got a Xone about a week ago, and the size of updates are heavy as we know and my internet connection is pretty slow and my xbox stays on after tunring off so that it could finish the update and it takes days to finish.
I read the manual but couldnt find out what is the recommended hours of usage and i was wondering if it could damage the adapter or hard disc. So how many hours should i let it be on like this? Any thoughts?

It's been a long time coming.

They are built for that "standby" mode, sure playing it for days non-stop can damage it, but standby mode minimize the usage and it won't get too warm, cuz it doesn't run the start menu or anything.

Just make sure it isn't closed in a cabinet or anything like that. They torture test these things well beyond anything you're going to do to it.
In the end they will lay their freedom at our feet and say to us, 'Make us your slaves, but feed us.'

You should write or phone Microsoft for a disk of the updates.I did for a Play Station 3 I bought and Sony sent me out a disk with the updates I needed.

Yes, i've thought of that but still i really don't want to see it get damaged since i worked hard to get this thing!
And yes it's in a free environment also a bit cold since i always open the window and my room is full of windows!
