I cheat for the 5 stars, but I'd still have fought the battle by myself. Some people don't want to skip battles. It's a matter of preference.
If I extend your logic, then we can just have 1 cheat to beat the whole game at the press of a button. Everything eventually leads up to that anyways, so what's the point? Like I said, it's preference and some people just want to experience parts of the game differently than others.
Anyways, all it would take is a feature to freeze the battle timer. Tons of other trainers on this site have features like that

FFXIII is the same way. Got it to 9999 and went to Orphan, i beat it too quick and it gave me 1 star rating.

Don't think it is the same as FFXIII this time around, I boosted all stats to max using the chrystarium. And times for mobs were still the old time limit no matter what level you were.

don't really care about the star rating system also did it with CoSMOS (I don't know how to do the pointers and such so it's a pain doing it EVERY time I restart the game) and didn't effect the stars anyway. also can use the easy kill option and beat the enemy in 5 seconds and still get full stars.
