I can't open the door. I found the two necessary items, but can't figure out what to do with the gears. Anyone?

If you mean the door with tzhe two dwarven gears, you have to turn them by holding down the interact key. when you have turned both gears, the door will open.

Thanks. I did find the dwarf gears, but evidently I couldn't figure out how to use the gears by the door, and I had tried everything, I thought.
